*This is a longer review but I hope it is helpful for the reader looking for solutions to their health problems.*

The issues that Ethos have addressed for me:
1. Locked shoulder (Dr Matt Hernandez)
2. GI pain and bloating (Dr Michelle Retz)

1.) I developed locked shoulder after attempting to treat my whiplash neck injury with a chiropractor. (The most probable points of origin were from a fairly traumatic car accident when I was 6, as well as a sports injury from age 16 – I am at the moment 37) My locked shoulder had been going on for 6 months and I didn’t feel much hope of getting better soon. I kept getting weekly adjustments, massages and stim, in the hopes it would get better, but the severity of the issue persisted without any reprieve.

I switched chiropractors and they recommended I see Dr Matt Hernandez. After an examination, an MRI and an ultrasound, Dr Matt was able to find the deeper issues involved with my injuries. He treated me with dextrose at specific sites, and repaired the shoulder joint with prolotherapy. Since then, my shoulder is almost fully recovered, and I am currently doing some physical therapy to make that final stretch of recovery.

2.) Dr Matt recommended seeing Dr Michelle Retz because I asked him if he knew of any gut health specialists. Luckily!…there is one in the building. I have been dealing with difficult and acute gut problems for the past 4-5 years, partly due to antibiotic use and a couple of very severe food poisoning incidents from many years ago. It manifested with consistent low level pain and bloating, with the monthly flare up in my entire gut area; a feeling of soreness and pain that would last for 2-4 days depending on the severity.

For four years, I have read countless off-the-shelf material on gut health, and had done my best to figure out ways to deal with my pain and bloating. Though there has been some improvement, the same issues have persisted. I decided to consult with an expert because I needed much better answers to the ones I could find. Dr Retz has been a guiding light in this process with her expertise and care for me. Through a comprehensive stool test, we found 2 strains of harmful bacteria in my GI tract at a fairly high index level, and she has put me on a supplement regiment designed to kill those inhabitants without the use of any antibiotics.

She has also focused equally on my psychological health, due to the close relationship with our mind and gut. Two months later, I am still progressing towards full recovery, and I have never felt this much better in a very long time. My pain and bloating has diminished, and I can feel a sense of calm like I haven’t before.

Final Thoughts:
I highly recommend seeing this community of doctors if you have any issues that they are able to treat. It has been nothing short of eye-opening and one of the most life-changing experiences of my life.
