Most of our patients come to us after a version of the same experience. They have seen good doctors. They have had bloodwork done. They have been told everything looks fine. And yet something is clearly not fine, and they know it.
Ethos Integrative Medicine is a private-pay practice in Scottsdale built for that patient. The executive who has cycled through specialists and left each appointment with more questions than answers. The woman in her mid-40s whose energy, sleep, and body composition are shifting in ways no one has adequately explained. The active adult who is not ready to accept that a surgical referral is the only path forward.
We are not a volume practice. We do not see thirty patients a day and send them home with a prescription. We run comprehensive diagnostics, work with physician-led teams, and build personalized long-term strategies. The goal is not to manage how you feel. It is to understand why, and fix it.
There are integrative medicine practices in Scottsdale. There are TRT clinics and hormone therapy centers and functional medicine providers. Most of them are fine. What they are not, for the most part, is precise.
Ethos is built around a different standard.
Every assessment, every protocol decision, and every follow-up conversation is grounded in physician-led care. Our clinical team is built around experienced physicians working alongside providers who are genuinely invested in your outcomes, bringing the same standard of precision and personal attention to every stage of your care.
Our Health Intelligence Deep Dive is a 56-point assessment covering hormonal, metabolic, cardiovascular, and adrenal function. We establish the baseline your body deserves, not the baseline your insurer will approve.
No two patients at Ethos are on the same protocol. Your treatment plan is built from your data, your goals, and your biology. We adjust it as you progress. We track it through your Ethos Performance Scorecard so you always know exactly where you stand.
This means one thing above all others: your physician’s decisions are never influenced by a billing code. You get the time, the access, and the clinical thinking your care actually requires.
When we suggest a supplement or product, it is because your lab results and clinical picture support it. Our protocols are built around what your biology actually needs, not a product catalog.
If you complete your initial assessment and leave without a clearer understanding of your health and your options, we refund the visit in full. No questions asked.
For men, the issue is rarely just testosterone. It is usually one piece of a broader picture that includes thyroid function, cortisol, DHEA, and how your body is actually using what it produces. Treating testosterone in isolation while ignoring the rest of the system is how patients end up on TRT that partially works. At Ethos, we look at all of it.
For women, we approach hormone optimization as a performance issue, not just a symptom checklist. Whether you are navigating perimenopause, noticing shifts in energy and cognition, or simply not responding the way you used to despite doing everything right, we build a strategy around what your biology actually shows. Dr. Alexandra Mayer leads our women’s hormone program with the understanding that the goal is optimization, not just relief.
Our longevity protocols go further still, addressing cardiovascular markers, metabolic function, sleep quality, inflammation, and cognitive performance. For patients who are thinking long-term about how they age, this is where that strategy lives.
If you have been told surgery is your next step, we would ask you to have one more conversation first. For a significant number of joint and tendon injuries, regenerative medicine offers a non-surgical path that produces real, lasting results. The patients who benefit most are the ones who have already tried the standard options and are not ready to go under the knife.
We offer the full spectrum of regenerative treatments:
• Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy for tendon, ligament, and joint injuries
• Prolotherapy for ligament instability and chronic joint pain
• Bone Marrow Concentrate (BMC) for advanced structural damage
• Microfragmented Adipose Tissue (MFAT) for complex joint conditions
Every regenerative procedure at Ethos is preceded by a musculoskeletal ultrasound assessment. We identify precisely what is damaged and match the treatment to the injury. We do not offer one-size-fits-all injections.
Our patients are not sick. They are high-performing adults who are noticing a gap between how they are living and how they want to feel. Most have already done the conventional route. Most have walked away from it unsatisfied.
The reasons patients typically reach out:
Our patients are executives, entrepreneurs, physicians, attorneys, and active adults. What they share is a belief that health is worth investing in precisely, not managing passively.
“Ethos Integrative Medicine has completely changed my life. At 45, I feel better than I ever have. Stronger, more energized, and finally in balance. The team helped me reset my hormones, lose stubborn weight, regain my energy, and build a sustainable plan for long-term strength and wellness.
What truly sets Ethos apart is how deeply they care. Every person in the office is friendly, responsive, and genuinely invested in each patient as an individual. I have been to countless doctors’ offices where I felt like just another number. Not here. The providers at Ethos actually listen, thoughtfully explain, and work with you to create a personalized plan that fits your body, your life, and your goals.
I trust them so much that I have referred all the most important people in my life to their care. My husband, my mom, my daughter, and countless friends. That is the strongest recommendation I can give.”

Am I a good candidate for hormone optimization?
Most of our hormone optimization patients are adults between 40 and 65 who are noticing a decline in energy, cognitive sharpness, body composition, or overall drive. They are not sick. They are simply not functioning at the level they expect of themselves, and conventional medicine has not given them a satisfying explanation. Good candidates are curious about their own data, have typically already tried at least one other approach, and are ready to invest in a more rigorous strategy. Both men and women are strong candidates. Many of our patients arrive having already been told their labs are normal.
Can regenerative medicine replace surgery for joint pain?
For many patients, yes. Regenerative treatments like PRP, prolotherapy, and Bone Marrow Concentrate are particularly effective for partial tears, tendon degeneration, mild to moderate osteoarthritis, and ligament instability. We regularly see patients who have been recommended surgery, pursue regenerative treatment instead, and return to full activity without ever going under the knife. That said, not every injury is a good candidate for regenerative medicine alone. The most important step is an honest diagnostic assessment before any treatment decision, which is why we use musculoskeletal ultrasound at every evaluation. If regenerative medicine is not the right answer for your injury, we will tell you that directly.
How is Ethos different from a TRT clinic?
A TRT clinic typically does one thing: check your testosterone and prescribe replacement therapy. For some patients in some situations, that is sufficient. For many, it is not. Testosterone functions within a broader hormonal system that includes thyroid, cortisol, DHEA, and how your body converts and utilizes what it produces. When that full picture is not assessed, you get partial results at best. At Ethos, we run a 56-point evaluation before making any protocol decisions, because the answer to why you feel the way you feel is rarely as simple as a single hormone number.
Do you take insurance?
No, and that is intentional. Insurance-driven care creates real constraints on how much time a physician can spend with you, how comprehensive your diagnostics can be, and which treatments are available to you. At Ethos, your physician’s recommendations are based entirely on your biology and your goals. We are happy to discuss fees and what to expect during your Discovery Call.
